Although the number of people getting their nose altered for cosmetic reasons has decreased in the last decade, rhinoplasty is still a highly sought-after procedure. About 220,000 of these popular surgeries are performed annually, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. It is still ranked as the most common facial plastic surgery procedure.
Rhinoplasty Is Not Just About Appearance
Generally, people think of a “nose job” as a purely cosmetic procedure. For generations, the classic standard of beauty included a small, thin and straight nose. Now, however, that standard is becoming more inclusive of all types and sizes, as demographics and the worldview on beauty changes.
